You don't need to overhaul your life to use these ideas; you just need to stack them. Start by reading a chunk of material once, actively, looking for the questions it answers. Then close everything and quiz yourself from memory (active recall). Whatever you miss goes onto a short list to revisit. Come back to that list a day or two later instead of immediately (spacing), and when you practice problems, shuffle topic types rather than grinding one kind at a time (interleaving).
A realistic loop looks like this: a 20-minute session where you study, self-test, and note your gaps; a short review a couple of days later focused on what you got wrong; and periodic mixed practice as the exam approaches.
