History

  • Blackjack gets a casino table, Zyko Blocks goes live, and demos start instantly

    1.8.0

Blackjack is rebuilt around a real felt table with proper rules and two new ways to play. Zyko Blocks, our two puzzle games, are open to everyone. Pressing Demo now drops you straight into the game, and Sky Captain, Dragon Flight and Kickoff Study all got big gameplay passes.

Blackjack: casino table and chips, real rules with insurance and surrender, plus Free Bet and Double Down Madness modes

Zyko Blocks is live: Drop Logic (falling blocks) and Gridlock (8x8 block puzzle), where right answers earn your pieces

Kickoff Study plays by real soccer rules: throw-ins, corners, goal kicks, two timed halves, and keepers that dive

Sky Captain opens in a winding slot canyon: take off, then thread a gorge that never runs straight

Dragon Flight: a rival to chase from the start, fire that is always yours, and fewer questions in the opening

Demo means play: the game starts the moment you press it, no intro screen

Press Enter to continue after a question in every game

Rate the game after any run with 3 or more answers

Public Library: browse by topic, search topics, and see sets picked for you

  • Switch games mid-set, a hands-on Launch IQ, and written answers in every game

    1.7.0

Every game now shares one top bar with Switch game and End game, and switching carries your progress into the next game. Launch IQ became a real space flight: you hold the burn on liftoff, steer through an asteroid field and land by hand. Written questions now play in every game, after the multiple choice.

Switch game: jump to another game without losing your place in the set

Every game ends on the same Set complete card, when your question set is done

Launch IQ: hands-on liftoff, an asteroid cruise, flown landings, aliens and meteor walls

Written questions: one deck with the multiple choice in every game, graded properly

A Back button on every page, including game screens

Light mode: text and buttons that had gone invisible are readable again

Power Slope on phones: a real joystick, with the HUD moved out from under your thumbs

    Search your own question sets

Premium free trial is now two weeks, and the Base plan includes one YouTube video turned into questions a month

  • Crystal Descent remade, a new Sky Captain, and a faster tutor

    1.6.0

Crystal Descent was rebuilt from the ground up with new art and a deeper dive. Sky Captain became a stealth jet flying between cities, and the AI tutor now streams its answer as it writes. Teachers can share a class with co-teachers.

Crystal Descent: crystal shallows, a kelp forest, coral ruins and a pitch-dark abyss, with power-ups for right answers

Sky Captain: a stealth jet over dusk cities, with a question every few seconds of flying

Zyko Tutor: one clean panel that streams the explanation as it is written

Leaderboard: 50 players a page, with a jump to your own rank

Classes: add co-teachers, and approve every join request at once

Question generation reads your whole upload, not just the opening pages

Phone fixes for Power Slope, Blackjack and landscape screens

  • Dragon Flight remade, Hindi, free trial and a lot of polish

    1.5.0

Dragon Flight is a new game top to bottom: five stages, fireballs you aim by steering, lightning that hunts you in the storm, and a wyvern shoot-out at the end. The whole site now speaks Hindi too, and Premium comes with a three week free trial. Plenty of smaller fixes across the games and the builder landed alongside.

Dragon Flight: canyon, peaks, sky hunt, storm and duel, with new art, a briefing screen, and Space or a click to shoot

Hindi joins English, Spanish and Chinese as a site language, including the tutor

Premium free trial: three weeks on a saved card, cancel before it ends and pay nothing

Spell Sprint starts faster, Chess Quiz has a new knight and no clock, Zyko Cross lets a right answer save your spot

The Free plan is now called Base; premium games stay included for now

Custom avatar uploads unlock at 2000 XP

  • New game: Spell Sprint (beta)

    1.3.0

A hard 3-lane sprint through the enchanted academy — and a new kind of study game. Nothing interrupts your run: the questions ARE the rescue. Crash into a spell carriage, or let the ever-gaining library golem catch you, and a question pops up. A right answer breaks you free (miss and the next question comes at you); nail your first one and the golem gets blasted back with a speed boost.

Spell Sprint: swipe between three rune-rails, jump the bookshelves, slide under the arches, dodge the carriages

The golem always gains — skill decides whether your questions come from crashes or from getting caught

First-try correct answers stack a score multiplier; retries reset it (you keep answering until it's right)

Sweep ⭐ star trails for bonus XP · marked Beta while we tune the difficulty

  • Power Slope opens to everyone (beta)

    1.2.0

Our 3D snowboarding game is out of the testing bunker: every player can now drop in from the arcade. It's marked Beta while we tune it, so expect fast updates. Question gates got stricter too — a wrong answer no longer lets you ride on, you keep answering until you get it right (only a first-try correct earns the boost).

Power Slope: carve a golden-hour mountain, hit kickers and rails, and answer at every gate banner — now playable by everyone, no tester password

Look for the BETA tag on its arcade tile while we polish it

Mastery gates: miss a question and you retry it until you lock in the right answer

  • Two new games, real math rendering, and a big round of polish

    1.1.0

The arcade keeps growing: Zyko Gem brings gem-matching puzzles where right answers earn your moves, ZykoDash returns rebuilt as a one-tap neon runner, and Dragon Flight got a full obstacle overhaul with rival wyverns to outfly. Questions now render real math, popups look right in light mode, and a stack of fixes landed across mobile controls, classes, and teacher tools.

New game: Zyko Gem — match gems and diamonds to clear the board, with bombs and fever streaks

ZykoDash rebuilt from scratch as a one-tap neon runner with spikes, saws, lasers, and shield orbs

Dragon Flight: breathe fireballs freely, dodge storm cells, geysers, and collapsing stalactites, and outfly rival wyverns

Sky Captain: miss a ring's question and you keep answering new ones until you get one right

Tumble Squad has a fresh look — gumdrop racers in wizard hats, four maps to vote on, and new cover art

Power Slope, our snowboarding game, is on the way — look for the Coming soon tile in the arcade

Math questions now render properly: exponents, square roots, and fractions look like real math

Light mode: question popups now dim and blur the game behind them, same as dark mode

Mobile fixes: the soccer joystick no longer hides under the action buttons

Classes: students join from a cleaner popup, and teachers see each class's subject when assigning

Launch offer: $3 off every month, applied automatically at checkout — Plus $4.99/mo (standard $7.99), Premium $7.99/mo (standard $10.99) — for as long as the offer runs

Free 3-week trial of Plus or Premium: claim it from the popup, the pricing page, or your Billing tab — save a card, cancel before it ends and pay nothing

  • Out of beta: Plus and Premium are here

    1.0.0

ZykoStudy is out of beta, and this is the first release on the stable version scheme (1.0.0) that replaces the Beta 1.x numbering. The Free plan stays free with no card required. Plus and Premium are now available for anyone who wants higher limits, YouTube-to-questions, and the premium games.

Plus at $7.99/month: 25 study sets, 30 questions per set, 60 AI tutor explanations, and 100-page uploads

Premium at $10.99/month: 100 study sets, 100 questions per set, unlimited AI tutor, 500-page uploads, and every premium game

Turn YouTube videos into questions, and add more questions to a set you already made, on both paid plans

Free stays free: 10 study sets a month, 20 questions per set, 30 AI tutor explanations, and dozens of games

Manage or cancel your plan yourself any time from your profile's Billing tab

  • New games, an AI tutor, and classroom tools

    Beta 1.1

A lot has changed since the public beta baseline in May. We expanded the arcade, added an AI tutor you can chat with, AI-graded free-response questions, and a deeper question builder that turns PDFs or pasted notes into a study set, all wrapped in a redesigned home page, progress tracker, and guided tour, plus a full set of tools for teachers.

Arcade grew with games like ZykoCross, Crystal Descent, ZykoDash, Kickoff Study (3D soccer), Crossover (3D basketball), StudySpin, and Blackjack

Every game now has a free “Try demo” (no account or study set needed)

AI tutor redesigned as a chat: ask follow-up questions on any problem in a movable panel that keeps the game in view

Free-response (FRQ) questions after a game, auto-graded by AI

Question builder turns uploaded PDFs and pasted notes into a ready-to-play set

Public library of community study sets you can play or save in one click

Teacher tools: create classes, assignments, and essay assignments with per-student analytics

Redesigned progress page with XP, badges, and one-tap practice on your weakest topics

Refreshed look: a live, playable hero on the home page, new typography, and Zyko, our wizard mascot, explaining answers as you play

Broad polish: mobile and touch controls, light-mode fixes, and a guided tour for new players
